Baby J : 11 Months Old

Short update to capture some of Baby J's special moments.

This little boy really enjoys eating fruits.

Mummy painted his face with dragon fruit

Trying to let him play ended up with diarrhea.
Not sure if it was the watermelon as what the chinese tradition says.
It was just 1-2 bites and a few mouthful of juice.  :p

He likes plum. No more steaming fruits but having lots of fresh fruits.

Baby J surprises me one day when he slots the balls correctly into the holes.
Another milestone for him.

It was also when he started to show some tantrums,
trying his luck to get out from the car seat.
Fake cry!

Mummy started baking after a looonng break.
Baby J was so understanding to allow his mummy busy in the kitchen
while he plays on his own.
That could last for hours. Muacks! Muacks!
Maybe he knows his mummy was trying something for his 1st bday.

Had his favorite food once mummy free.

His favorite past time in the kitchen

Occasionally showed some funny actions

Got his hair trimmed to get him ready for his big day.
Fuss free hair cutting session.
Muacks! Muacks!

His first birthday present from daddy.
He looked super cute in this car.
(Mummy still against the idea of buying this as his 1st present as Baby J still too young to appreciate it.
Well, you cannot really stop a daddy who loves his son so much who thinks it was the best gift on earth.
Mummy thought it was a silly decision. Of course daddy was having so much fun navigating this car
with his son strapped in it. Haa.. Baby J loves this car i assume as he kept exploring the car.
I was imagining if he is a 3-4 years kid, he will be jumping high, laughing, screaming, excited
to have this as a big birthday present, right?? )

Baby J : 10 months old

Haaiiihhh... been trying to catch up all these belated pages.
I can only make it very simple and compact.
Here's Baby J's progress when he was 10 months old.

Let's start with his appetite.
My moments feeding this boy different
types of food only restricted to weekends and public holiday.
Breastfeeding was counted as milk shake.
Weekdays late evening feedings were counted as snack.

I have been trying to incorporate some greens into his porridge.
Finally a hit when i discovered the ways of preparing them.
He can consumes a lot of greens, no choking.
Yea... he chokes when the texture is too rough.

Chinese Spinach (Bayam)
Sweet Pea
Beans
Broccoli & Cauliflower
Beetroots

Very simple and my little boy loved it!

Bayam Porridge (Chinese Spinach)

Tried mango oats as breakfast.
Acceptable but i did not see his ummph face

Unfortunate Events
Oh…  this boy had his first bump!
Applied ice immediately.
No bungalow.. phewww…

He was feeding mosquitoes for a period of time.
Could be the weather.
Most severe was 4 stings on his right side of his head,
few on his hands, fingers, legs.
I thought it was HFMD as it was the season too.
I quarantined him for 3-4 days before sending back to baby sitter.
Well, i have to take emergency leave. :(

Apart from the unfortunate events, he was still a happy, playful boy.

This is the smile I get everyday when I fetched him home.

Baby J can blow. Daddy cannot tahan geli…

Baby J on his ice-cream truck.
He flipped and checked this truck for good 10 min each play.

Introduced a sensory basket to him

Another toy basket

 All time favorite donkey riding

Best activity for the month, peeling tapes from the foam.
We were tired of assembling the mat  over and over because
Baby J kept pulling them apart.
So i taped it, resulted he was busy peeling the tape
instead of dismantling the mat.
Well, it was part of motor skill too right >_<

Introduced straw cup to Baby J too.
It took him 2 days to learn how to suck from this cup.
I was introduced to this Combi Stage 4 cup from my bestie
who had trial & errors on different types of straw cups for baby.
True enough, it was a good investment.
Apart from not willing to hold his own milk bottle, he did the same
to his new straw cup too.  = . =

Baby, mummy never like daddy bribe you with ipad.
you are just too young for this gadget.
can you be patient, until you are much older??

Baby J has his own private VIP seat.
He settled well sitting by himself while we enjoyed most of our dinners.
This is a highly recommended portable feeding chair
from Fisher Price.
We never had problem on disrupted dinners.
Little boy will have his baby food and slight entertainment
from his entertainers (kong2, ma2, check2, me & hub)
Daddy aka the kuli or me will either carry the portable chair
or baby J & luggage bag.

That was all about me when i was 10th months old!

Baby J : 8 months old

This was my 1st year celebrating Mother's Day being a mother myself.
Baby J is my Joy, my Love, my Sunshine
Hub took us for a good lunch and
i really appreciate his thoughtfulness.

Baby J enjoying his food too

Little boy was getting very active and curious

We had another round of celebration at Khun Thai Teluk Kumbar

All focus was on Baby J so we forgot to snap family photo.

We began to have more outdoor activities too.
Occasionally when the weather was good, we just took him
to the nearby park for 30 min.
He needs some Vit D.

My little munchkin started to take more interest on things around him.
His interactions were filled with glance, grab, smile, imitation.

He was very mobile and
we just baby proofed our house.

I really wonder why baby loves remote control?
He loved tearing the EVA foam apart too.

Tried to set up an organized play area for him.
It did not worked so well.

At this month, baby J was able to sit firmly unassisted.

 He can even climb!

Full of curiosity

Saw some nice picture of baby art.
Tried to imitate.
Hahaha.. this was the masterpiece.
You can see how much i love my boy.
I used Crayola finger paint since it's non toxic. *-*

Baby J has been sleeping on his own.
His sleeping time normally between 8-9pm.
Even though i was still breastfeeding him, we did not co-sleep.
He was in the same room as us.
His last feed could be as late as 11pm-12am and
the next feed could be as early as 6am.
When i breastfed him early in the morning,
i will just let him sleep with us for awhile.

Happy child. He smiled in the midst of sleeping

Occasionally he can be very 'or lor' / 'manja'
I LOVE his loving gesture.
Climbed on to me and hugged me to sleep.

My days always started happily with his beautiful & cheeky smile.

Before sleep, i will TRY, try laa...
to read him some books
He loved flipping & biting his books!

Even at night, i will get my beautiful dosage before i sleep.
See , he can stands firmly.

Food
Apart from the usual puree i'm giving him,
i also introduced oats as his breakfast.
Oats with blueberries
Oats with prune
or anything i found suitable

New exploration would be millet with tofu

How much my baby has grown! :)

oh ya... he can raise both arms and cling on
to his koala mama...
all the time lekat-lekat
